    Introduction

    The bridge for IFS Cloud that replaces oas.exe needs to open it's own web app in order to handle the creation of an email and redirect the end-user to the Outlook website.

    When the end-user clicks the button in the IFS Cloud it redirect the end-user to the Outlook email/URL automatically.

    Bridge user guide contains the instructions on details for the Bridge Service.

    Technical requirements

    • Valid IFS Cloud user account.
    • Valid Microsoft 365 work account with an Outlook mailbox.
    • Valid Microsoft 365 work account with an Outlook mailbox

    Common ways to "open in Outlook" from IFS:

    1. Create Outlook Meeting: From a business activity within IFS, you can use custom Action "Open in Outlook" which will be redirect to new Bridge service endpoint and open a draft email with integrated IFS data related to the Business activity.

    2. By clicking on custom Action "Open in Outlook", a new browser tab will open, and navigate to Microsoft 365 sign-in page which will be navigate to the draft email.

    3. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 work account credentials. Draft email will be open, pre-filled with the recipient's address, subject, and body content from IFS.Review the email. You can add any additional text, attachments, or CC recipients as needed. and click the Send button will send the email to corresponding connection email for Business activity.

    Important

    You only need to log in to Microsoft 365 once. After granting consent, you will be automatically redirected to the draft email.
