Overview

  • Addovation Sync - AI PO is a automate IFS purchase order confirmation system

  • It uses standard IFS component for communicating with IFS and Azure Logic Apps and Azure Document Intelligence to automate order confirmation process.

Infrastructure & Technology

  • The solution can be illustrated as following:

  • A storage account is hosted in the customer's tenant to store resources(ex: pre trained documents).
  • A Azure Logic App is triggered when email is received to the mail box, and extract the pdf attachment from the email.
  • Pre-trained Azure Document Intelligence Model to extract order details from pdf

System requirements

  • Microsoft Outlook 365 for email integration
  • IFS System API Access with necessary authentication
  • Pre-trained Azure Document Intelligence Model for PDF processing

Configuration Requirements

  • Azure Logic App for Configure email trigger to monitor incoming order confirmation emails.
  • Set up Azure Document Intelligence to process attached PDFs.
  • Define HTTP connectors for IFS system integration.
  • Azure Document Intelligence to Train and deploy a custom model for extracting order details from PDFs.
  • Set up storage for processing and archiving documents.

Limitations

Supported Email Services

  • Microsoft Outlook 365
  • Gmail (with IMAP configuration)
  • Other IMAP/SMTP-supported email providers

Supported File Formats

  • PDF (Primary format for order confirmations)
  • TIFF, PNG, and JPEG (For scanned documents if pre-processed)

Email Processing Limitations

  • Attachments larger than 25MB may not be processed due to email provider limitations.
  • Requires a consistent email subject format for accurate filtering and automation.
