Service Description
Addovation Stream is an automatic document creation solution that helps to streamline your business processes. With Stream, you can create professional-looking documents quick and easy, saving time and effort.
- Stream is an ERP agnostic service to generate PDF or Word output.
- All data is being sent to service and output is a document.
- Stream is not dependent on any ERP or data source.
- Stream can be combined with workflow tools such as Azure Logic Apps to control logic and / or fetch data.
- Stream does support images.
- Templates are controlled by HTML.professional-looking documents quick and easy, saving time and effort.
All the data is being sent to the API that will merge the information using an HTML template and output either a Word- or PDF file. A generic overview can be illustrated as following:

Service Requirements
Customer Obligations
Access to Customer IFS Cloud Buildplace is required to deploy the custom projection to check in the generated document to IFS Cloud.
The ERP need to be open up for calling the Stream service and to receive the generated document.
Addovation Document Management (DocMan) is required
- DocMan is required for checking in the document.
Applicable versions /dependencies to versions
The Stream service that receives the JSON data and HTML template is not dependent on the requesting ERP system. Customizations that gather the data in IFS may, however, be affected by new IFS Cloud releases and need to be verified by the customer when upgrading.

Monitoring
Monitoring is handled through Application Insights in Microsoft Azure.
Required Access
Access to buildplace is required to deliver the utility package for data gathering and a projection to check in the final document in IFS CLoud.
GDPR
Data processing to create PDF documents is handled within the Stream service. If the output file is a word document the data request is sent to an online service, maintined by Aspose, for conversion.
Required competencies
- ERP specific integration knowledge.
- How to gather data either internally or externally in the system.
- How to send data directly to API or integration framework.
- ERP functional knowledge.
- What objects to use, when to trigger the flow e.g. a button or automatically.
- What document classes, format size etc. to use

- Preferred integration framework
- Such as Azure Logic apps.
- This will handle logic and conditions.
- Handle the file e.g. check in as new, connect to an object or create new revisions.
- HTML and CSS knowledge
- This controls how the end-result will look like.
